We accept Medicare and most out of network insurance!

Hi, I’m Ann-Marie.

My name is Ann-Marie Dykstra. I live locally in the Tavares area with my wonderful husband and two Labradors.

I’m a certified Speech-Language Pathologist (more commonly called Speech Therapist) with ASHA (American Speech-Language Hearing Association). I received my Masters in Speech-Language Pathology in 2010 from San Diego State University, while simultaneously being fortunate to intern at the VA Hospital. It was here I had truly found my calling working with the medically complex adult population. After 10 years working at various medical facilities across the United States, I decided to take the skills I acquired and open up my own mobile-speech therapy practice for adults serving Lake County, Florida and often surrounding areas as needed.

Benefits of Cobalt therapy

I come to you!

That’s right. I drive to your home. So you don’t have to go through the hassle of fighting traffic and waiting in a lobby room. Just relax and save your energy for our treatment session.

Unlike most rehab companies that offer a variety of services, I solely focus on Speech Therapy for adults. I have over 10 years of experience within complex medical conditions that impact communication, cognition and the ability to swallow.

I bill insurance

I accept Medicare Part B plans as well as most out of network insurance coverage. I do all the billing for you, so you only pay if you have a co-insurance/co-payment. Those payments can easily be set-up on your patient portal.

Certified Provider

I have extensive training with e-stim (often referred to as NMES or VitalStim) and sEMG for Dysphagia (swallowing difficulties) as well as facial paralysis. For people with Parkinson’s Disease having problems with their voice, I am LSVT Loud certified and a big fan of this program.

Effective Treatments

I team up with other professionals for optimal care as needed, particularly for those with head and neck cancer related swallowing problems. I choose treatments that are backed by evidenced based research utilizing the latest in technology when possible.

More Therapy Time

Most companies are dropping speech therapy treatment times to 30 minutes with limitations on how often you can be seen due to low reimbursement rates. Since I have very little overhead, I am able to provide therapy the way it was intended at 45-60 minutes a session and we determine together how many times to be seen based on your needs.

Insurance & Costs

  • Original Medicare plans under Part B Benefits
  • Most out of network insurance plans (PPO, POS)
  • Prompt pay discount if paid in advance via cash, credit card or check

I am currently a Medicare B Provider and accept all patients under original Medicare as well as those with insurance plans that cover out of network services. While I am not a provider for Medicare Advantage (or Medicare Replacement) plans, some will make exceptions if you can not find a Speech Therapist in their network for your area.

I do all of the billing for you and you only need to pay if you have a co-payment/co-insurance portion. The only requirement is that you can not currently be in a home health episode receiving benefits under your Medicare Part A benefits. That would mean that you are already getting therapy services in your home along with nurse visits.

Other exceptions would be if you are already receiving Speech Therapy services (whether at home or outpatient). Medicare will not pay for duplication of services, so you can only have one plan of care active with a Speech Therapist at a time.

If you are not covered by insurance, or are in need of a service that insurance does not cover, I do offer private pay options and discounts if paid in advance.

While a referral from your doctor is not required to get started with me, I will need a physician that is willing to sign off on our plan of care when I fax it over to them.

Insurance can be very confusing, so call me and we will get your insurance coverage verified so you know exactly what to expect before we start our sessions.
