This is a guide for assessing Spasmodic Dysphonia (SD) and being able to discern it from a Muscle Tension Dysphonia (MTD). This 2 page handout includes:
- 4 screening questions that the answers are required for SD but not MTD
- 10 sentences to identify if it is an adductor SD or MTD
- 10 sentences to identify if it is an abductor SD or MTD
- 4 tasks to perform that have different outcomes for SD vs MTD
